Stefano Secci

Short bio
Stefano Secci received the M.Sc. degree in communications engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2005, and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and networks from Politecnico di Milano (Networks) and Telecom ParisTech (NMS), France, in 2009. He is an Associate Professor at the LIP6, Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC - Paris VI - Sorbonne Universités), Paris, France, since Oct. 2010, conducting research within the PHARE research team. In 2010, he worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow with NTNU (Q2S), Norway, and George Mason University (CNL), USA. Before receiving the Ph.D. degrees, in 2005-2006, he worked as a Research Associate with Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal (GERAD), Canada, and with Politecnico di Milano, and as a Network Engineer with Fastweb Italia, Italy.

My current research interests are:
  • traffic engineering, network planning, routing games;
  • broadband and mobile access networks (PONs, small-cell networks);
  • unified user and machine mobility management;
  • cloud networking and network virtualization;
  • telecommunications policy and interconnection models;
