Next Generation Network (NGN) is a term to describe key architectural evolutions in telecommunication core and access networks that will be deployed from 2010. In NGN only one network will transport all information and services (voice, data, video, etc.) by encapsulating these into IP packets. NGNs are commonly built around IP routing and GMPLS technologies A Next Generation Network (NGN) will be a carrier-grade environment able to provide services including telecommunication services. Service-related functions will be independent from underlying transport-related technologies. The NGN will offer unrestricted access by users to different service providers. Moreover, NGN will support generalized mobility which will allow consistent and ubiquitous provision of services to users. This workshop is an annual international workshop, aiming to serve as a platform for researchers and visionaries from academia, research labs, and industry. NGN 2010 will take place in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
