Stefano Secci

Short bio
Stefano Secci is professor of communication networks at Cnam, Paris, France. In 2010-2018, he was associate professor at LIP6, Sorbonne University (UPMC - Paris VI), France. He received the M.Sc. degree in communications engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2005, and a dual Ph.D. degree in computer science and networks from Politecnico di Milano and Télécom ParisTech, France, in 2009. In 2010, he worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow with NTNU, Norway, and George Mason University, USA. Before the Ph.D., in 2005-2006, he worked as a research associate with Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada, and with Politecnico di Milano, and as a network engineer with Fastweb Italia, Italy. His current research activity spans from novel routing and switching architectures to network virtualization and protocol design.
My current research interests are:
  • routing, traffic engineering and resource allocation;
  • cybersecurity and reliability in networks and systems;
  • edge computing, cloud networking, network virtualization;
  • telecommunications policy and interconnection strategies.
