Call for Papers: PDF - TXT
For paper submission
Submissions should be original and limited to 5 double-column pages, and should follow IEEE paper templates.
Papers can exceed the page limit with a maximum of 3 extra pages, which (if accepted) will be subject to an extra fee (75€ per page).
Papers are to be submitted electronically on the EDAS web site by the deadline indicated below. Papers submitted after this deadline will be discarded without review.

For Demo and Poster short-paper submissions
Submissions should be original and between 2 and 3 double-column pages, and should follow IEEE paper templates.
Short-papers cannot exceed the limit of 3 pages.
Papers are to be submitted electronically on the EDAS web site by the deadline indicated below. Papers submitted after this deadline will be discarded without review.
Accepted short-papers will be published with the conference proceedings and appear in IEEExplore.
Accepted Demo and Poster short-papers should be presented during the correspondig session, and, depending on authors' availability, we would appreciate they be available already starting from the coffee break on Nov. 28 afternoon.
If you want to do a demo, and don't have the time to write a companion short-paper, it is possible, please write a synthetic proposal to rougier at telecom-paristech.fr AND s.giordano at iet.unipi.it

For Tutorial proposals
Proposals for tutorials to be presented at the IEEE CloudNet'12 are solicited.
Potential instructors are requested to submit a tutorial proposal of at most 3 pages,
including a biographical sketch and outline of the topics covered by the tutorial to (using as email subject: CLOUDNET12_TUTORIALS) before September 20th, 2012:
rougier at telecom-paristech.fr AND s.giordano at iet.unipi.it
Tutorial duration will be of 2 hours. Criteria for selection will be the expertise and experience of the proposed instructors, and the relevance of the subject matter.
WHAT TO SEND:
- Title and contact information.
- Outline of materials to be presented.
- Why the proposed topic is interesting and timely.
- Biographical sketch of the presenter(s).
- List of prior tutorials presented.
Camera ready paper instructions
For the copyright form, please use the IEEE e-copyright link present in your paper page in EDAS.
Register to the conference, filling the EDAS paper number field. If your final paper has more than 5 pages up to 8, you should include the per-extra-page fees in your registration (note: for poster and demo short papers, the limit is 3 normal pages with no extra pages ).
For camera ready upload, go to IEEE PDF eXpress Plus website (http://www.pdf-express.org/plus), and:
- Create a IEEE PDF eXpress Plus account, entering basic contact information and as "Conference ID" use "cloudnet12xp"; get confirmation of account creation email.
- Upload a PDF for Checking or source file(s) for Conversion; get email confirmation of file receipt.
Submitted PDFs are Checked for IEEE Xplore®-compatibility; source file(s) are Converted to IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs.
- If a PDF is submitted: you will receive an email stating that PDF Passed or Failed the Check. If the PDF fails, a PDF Check report is attached to the email. Author goes to account and clicks Understanding the PDF Check Report for solutions.
- If source is submitted: you will receive the IEEE PDF eXpress Plus-generated PDF as an attachment, and through your IEEE PDF eXpress Plus account. Review PDF to ensure that it views on screen and prints as you intended.
- If necessary, revisions may be submitted (PDF or source); return to Step 2.
- Make sure that there are no grammatical, spelling, or content errors in articles prior to submitting to IEEE PDF eXpress Plus.
- When you have an acceptable, IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF, approve this final PDF to the conference. This approval is needed in order to have the paper in the proceedings. You do not need to upload the final paper in EDAS.

Travel Grants
The conference committee awards a limited number of travel grants (each of 500€) for IEEE CloudNet 2012.
The Awards co-chairs will give ordered preference to: (i) students; (ii) paper marks; (iii) coming from abroad (the farther, the better).
The candidate has to be an author of an accepted paper. A letter of motivation with IEEE member #, and a CV should be uploaded before October 15th, 2012 via this link: https://edas.info/G.php?g=301

Students with an accepted paper should register under "Full Author Registration".
One Author registration is valid for up to two authored accepted papers.
